Monday Devotion: Week 4: Restoration
Acts 3:21 NIV
Heaven must receive him until the time comes for God to restore everything, as he promised long ago through his holy prophets.
Hosea 6:1 NIV
“Come, let us return to the Lord.
He has torn us to pieces but he will heal us; he has injured us but he will bind up our wounds.
Isaiah 40:31 NIV
but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.
Reflective questions:
1. In what area of your life, do you are in need God to restore you?
2. Do you have a clear understanding of your identity in Christ?
3. How has the story of the Prodigal Son (Luke 15:11-32) helped you understand your identity in Christ?
4. When you read Jesus asked Peter 3 times if he loves Him (John 21:15–17), what is your feeling as you imagine you were Peter?
Dear heavenly father
Praise the Lord. You have not come to condemn us but to save us.
John 3:17 NIV
17 For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him.
You created us in your image, and you have a plan to prosper us not to harm us.

When we stumble in our faith, in our walk-in you. God just wants us to come as we are.

All God desire is for us to return to you. For when we accept Christ Jesus as our Lord and Savior, our relationship with you has been restored, and you long for us to just come forward to receive our blessings.
Nehemiah 1:9 NIV
9 but if you return to me and obey my commands, then even if your exiled people are at the farthest horizon, I will gather them from there and bring them to the place I have chosen as a dwelling for my Name.’

God, let us remind ourselves that we are that Prodigal Son (Luke 15:11-32) that you have come to celebrate with us.
You long for us to return, and you are ready to entrust us with even more when we return to you.
Jesus, when I read how You asked Peters 3 times if You love him (John 21:15–17,) as I imagine I were Peter, and that you are speaking to me, I am in awe and speechless.
You personally restore us and invite us to repent by your loving calling upon our name.
You send Your Advocate to convict us and personally draw us near to you, again and again.

7 But very truly I tell you, it is for your good that I am going away. Unless I go away, the Advocate will not come to you; but if I go, I will send him to you. 8 When he comes, he will prove the world to be in the wrong about sin and righteousness and judgment:

How much shall I be in awe of your amazing love?

Hallelujah! Praise the Lord.
May we always remember we are children of God.
We are not our mistakes or our sins.
That through Christ we can overcome all.
Matthew 19:26 NIV
26 Jesus looked at them and said, “With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.”
We are the blessed ones!
He will surely restore us as He promised in the scripture.
1 Peter 5:10 NIV
10 And the God of all grace, who called you to his eternal glory in Christ, after you have suffered a little while, will himself restore you and make you strong, firm and steadfast.
