Monday Devotion: Week 2: Confess our sins
Ezekiel 18:32 NIV
For I take no pleasure in the death of anyone, declares the Sovereign Lord. Repent and live!
Daniel 9:5 NIV
we have sinned and done wrong. We have been wicked and have rebelled; we have turned away from your commands and laws.
Psalm 32:5 NIV
Then I acknowledged my sin to you and did not cover up my iniquity. I said, “I will confess my transgressions to the Lord.” And you forgave the guilt of my sin.
Reflective questions:
1. How have you turned away from God in the past week?
2. Are there any known habitual sins?
3. Have you confessed to God, all sins known to you?
4. What kind of action steps can help change your behavior and thoughts patterns?
So that you will walk in the light and not in the dark.
Dear heavenly father
Forgive us. We have sins against you.
And our flesh is so weak.
Many times, we repeated our offenses to You, as though our heart was still dead with sins.
Romans 7:18 NIV
For I know that good itself does not dwell in me, that is, in my sinful nature. For I have the desire to do what is good, but I cannot carry it out.
Help us to be alive in You. Knowing we have the seal of Holy Spirit as an assurance of our salvation.
Ephesians 1:13 NIV
And you also were included in Christ when you heard the message of truth, the gospel of your salvation. When you believed, you were marked in him with a seal, the promised Holy Spirit,
He is the Advocate, that God has sent to us, so we can understand things of God
John 14:26 NIV
But the Advocate, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you all things and will remind you of everything I have said to you.
Let us remember, Jesus has already overcome the world.

If we believe in Jesus is the way and the truth,
that His death and resurrection has paid for our sins,
And we confess to God our sins and ask for His forgiveness…
If we are born again (Romans 8:14)

For those who are led by the Spirit of God are the children of God.
We can have the confidence that we can overcome the world because the Holy Spirit is always ministering to us every day and every night.
Isaiah 59:21 NIV
“As for me, this is my covenant with them,” says the Lord. “My Spirit, who is on you, will not depart from you, and my words that I have put in your mouth will always be on your lips, on the lips of your children and on the lips of their descendants—from this time on and forever,” says the Lord.
He is the one who ceaselessly intercede for us before our Father, who teaches us all things about God.
Romans 8:26-27 NIV
In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us through wordless groans. [27] And he who searches our hearts knows the mind of the Spirit, because the Spirit intercedes for God’s people in accordance with the will of God.
John 14:26 NIV
But the Advocate, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you all things and will remind you of everything I have said to you.
May we meditate the Word of God day and night. For faith come from hearing the Word.
Romans 10:17 NIV
Consequently, faith comes from hearing the message, and the message is heard through the word about Christ.
